Dave Ramsey defines biblical stewardship as “handling all of Gods resources God's ways for God's glory.” Living in one of the wealthiest regions in one of the wealthiest countries of the world, we recognize materialism as a significant threat to our discipleship. By bringing this area of our lives under the Lordship of Christ, we have the ability to free ourselves from the “pattern of this world” (Rom 12:2) that consumes our joy, schedule, resources, and hearts so that we can have the capacity to be “generous on every occasion” (2 Corinthians 9:11).
